Shimla, Oct. 15 -- BJP leader and Dharamshala MLA Sudhir Sharma launched a sharp attack on the Congress-led Himachal Pradesh Government over discussions regarding the formation of new districts in the state.

Speaking to the media on the sidelines of Hamir Sangam, a cultural programme organised by the Hamirpur Students Association at Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, Sharma questioned the government's intentions, financial priorities and administrative approach.

Referring to reports that the State Government is allegedly considering constituting a commission to examine the formation of new districts, Sharma described the move as a political gimmick intended to divert public attention from pressing issues affecting Himachal Pradesh.
