New Delhi, May 23 -- With India having the 3rd largest startup ecosystem with more than 2.3 lakh startups recognised, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday hailed the growing culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship in the country, noting the involvement of a large number of youth from tier-1 and tier-2 cities, and women.

Addressing the 19th edition of the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi said that India has become the third-largest startup ecosystem globally. He affirmed that the change is visible in the country's tier-1 and tier-2 cities and not just the big cities.
