New Delhi, Sept. 1 -- Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Tuesday hit out at the Congress-led Karnataka government, calling it the "worst and most corrupt government" in the state's political and administrative history, while defending the country's economic growth under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Speaking to ANI on the JDS-BJP Padayatra in Karnataka, Kumaraswamy said the 10-day march, which began on Tuesday, would be held in the northern parts of the state.

"From today, they have started the Padayatra. They will be conducting the Padayatra for ten days in the northern part of Karnataka. In the history of Karnataka politics and administration, this is the worst and most corrupt government," he said.
