New Delhi, June 16 -- Following the results of the West Bengal assembly elections, which denied over a decade-long Trinamool Congress' rule, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) president Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday claimed that TMC's "corruption, misgovernance" and betrayal of the Muslim community were among the reasons for their loss.

In an interview with ANI, Owaisi claimed that there were four main areas where he believes the state government failed the public, suggesting that the leadership had become disconnected from the needs of the people.
