"Majority not with Gyanesh Kumar": Kapil Sibal demands suspension of CEC, halt to SIR process
New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal on Wednesday claimed that Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar does not have the support of the majority among the Election Commission members, citing Indian Express report that two Election Commissioners objected to certain decisions related to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process and changes in electoral roll procedures.
"It seems some people in this country still have a conscience... look at the kind of irregularities taking place in the Election Commission," Sibal said while addressing a press conference.
