Mumbai, March 6 -- Former South Africa player Faf du Plessis heaped praise on ace India pacer Jasprit Bumrah after the bowler's heroics helped Team India secure a seven-run win over England in the T20 World Cup 2026 semifinal on Thursday at Mumbai's Wankhede. Du Plessis said having Bumrah in your team is "like having a genie."

In the semifinal clash, India posted a daunting 253-7 while batting first with help of Sanju Samson's 42-ball 89. However, England, courtesy of Jacob Bethell's century, were in the hunt for India's target for most of the match.
