Madrid, May 14 -- Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has left fans vague about the potential signing of Manchester City star striker Erling Haaland, saying that it is the job of sporting management to make it happen.

Florentino was speaking to LaSexta in an interview that came days after they lost to arch-rivals Barcelona, which enabled the latter to seal a back-to-back La Liga title.

There have been a lot of speculations linking Haaland with the Spanish giants, despite having already signed a contract extension all the way till 2034. The Norway superstar is in excellent form this season, with 37 goals and eight assists this season in 50 appearances and remains instrumental to his side's Premier League and FA Cup hopes.
