New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Member of the Economic Advisory Council to the Prime Minister (EAC-PM) Sanjeev Sanyal has called for a scrutiny of the coaching system in India, asserting that much of the subversion of the country's educational framework occurs through these institutes, and pointed out that even in China, a similar subversion used to take place through coaching classes.

In an interview with ANI, Sanyal went on to describe the coaching sector in the country as a "mafia," emphasising that the entire system requires thorough oversight and scrutiny.
