New Delhi, Sept. 23 -- Demanding immediate punitive action against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednsday said that Kumar should be suspended and legal action must be taken against him.

Reacting sharply to an Indian Express report that said that two Election Commissioners had objected to discrepancies in the Special Summary Revision (SIR) process, Raut claimed that elections in India have been compromised and alleged that the Election Commission of India (ECI) functions under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
