Jerusalem, Feb. 25 -- Highlighting the importance of regional stability, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the Palestine issue during a historic speech at the Israeli parliament, Knesset, noting that the Trump administration-led Gaza Peace Initiative holds the "promise of a just and durable peace" for the people of the region.

Currently on a two-day state visit to Israel, his second to the nation, the Prime Minister remarked on the significance of the occasion, stating that he is the first Indian head of government to address the Israeli parliament.
