Ranchi, March 16 -- Jharkhand Minister and Congress MLA Dipika Pandey Singh on Monday expressed confidence that a major political shift in the upcoming Assembly elections was underway in Assam.

Speaking to the media, Singh claimed that the people of Assam have long been "upset" with Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma's administration, asserting that the public is ready for change.

"In the future, a government of the common people will be formed there. Gaurav Gogoi will be the Chief Minister there."
