Mumbai, April 13 -- A wave of grief swept through Mumbai as contestants from Indian Idol Season 16 gathered to pay their last respects to legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, who passed away at the age of 92, on April 12.
The young singers emotionally described her demise as the end of an era while reflecting on her enduring influence on their musical journeys.
On April 13, the contestants arrived as a group at Bhosle's residence, where her mortal remains were draped in the Tricolour, a mark of state honour.
Manraj, one of the contestants, shared his grief, saying the team rushed to pay tribute as soon as they heard the news.
