Gorakhpur, Nov. 8 -- Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said expecting those who had thought only about their own families to work for the poor, Dalits and disadvantaged sections was a "pipe dream", as he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 52 development projects worth over Rs 82 crore in Gorakhpur on the occasion of Diwali.

In a post on X, the Chief Minister said that such expectations would have been a pipe dream in 2017.

"Expecting those who have thought only of their own families to think about the poor, Dalits and the disadvantaged is, in itself, a pipe dream. That would have been the case in 2017," he wrote.
