New Delhi, July 1 -- As Ireland officially takes over the rotating presidency of the Council of the European Union for the next six months (July to December 2026), the Irish Ambassador to India, Kevin Kelly, has heavily emphasised deepening ties with New Delhi and the broader Indo-Pacific region.

Speaking in the national capital at the launch event for Ireland's Presidency, Ambassador Kelly underscored that Europe's geopolitical gaze is firmly fixed on strengthening its bond with India.
