Hyderabad, Aug. 22 -- Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Saturday said the cancellation of Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy's proposed US visit was not a political matter but a procedural issue involving required permissions.

Addressing the reporters here, Kishan Reddy said neither the BJP nor the Central Government had any direct role in deciding a Chief Minister's foreign travel plans.

"Regarding a Chief Minister's travels, neither the BJP nor the Central Government has any direct involvement in the matter itself. However, there are established rules in place since the Congress era," he said.
