New Delhi, Sept. 15 -- BJP MP Vivek Thakur on Tuesday slammed Congress MP Karti Chidambaram for his remarks on the BRICS Gala dinner, saying Congress blows absurd issues out of proportion.

Thakur said it is natural for a host nation to serve its own cuisine, noting that the Russian President enjoyed the meal.

Speaking to ANI, Thakur said, "The Congress party constantly tries to blow absurd issues out of proportion. Whenever a country hosts an event, the host nation naturally makes an effort to serve its own cuisine to the visiting guests.
