Mumbai, April 22 -- Bollywood power couple Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh have been appointed as the brand ambassadors for the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation's (ST) public awareness initiatives, in a bid to strengthen the public awareness around the 'Road Safety Campaign'.

In the agreement handover ceremony held on Wednesday, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (ST) and the Transport Department announced the appointments.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh was also present at the ceremony.

Speaking to the media, Riteish recalled how he used to travel in the state buses with his late father and former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.
