Ottawa, June 4 -- Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand expressed grief after the Malviya Nagar fire tragedy, which resulted in the death of 21 people, including several foreign nationals.

In a post on X, Anand expressed her condolences and said that she has been in touch with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to convey Canada's solidarity.

"Deeply saddened by the tragic fire that claimed at least 21 lives and injured many others in Malviya Nagar, New Delhi. Canada stands with India during this devastating time, and I extend my deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of those affected. I have been in touch with my counterpart, @DrSJaishankar, to convey Canada's solidarity", Anand said.
