New Delhi, Oct. 12 -- Communist Party of India (Marxist) General Secretary MA Baby on Monday condemned the handling of protests in Delhi, describing the situation as "barbarity" and calling for a broad platform involving students, youth, women, workers, farmers, civil society members and intellectuals to continue the agitation.

Baby said various organisations and individuals from different sections of society should come together to sustain the movement across the country.

"These days it was barbarity in Delhi. People will continue to struggle. Every organisation of various sections of people, civil society, intellectual and cultural personalities, we want a broad platform of struggle that is emerging in our country," he said.
