"Atmosphere was created as if I were rapist": Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh after acquittal in wrestlers harassment case
Gonda, Aug. 6 -- BJP leader and Former Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh on Thursday said an atmosphere was created to portray him "as a rapist", days after a Delhi court acquitted him in the sexual harassment case.
Speaking to the media during his visit to Nandini Nagar in Gonda, Singh said, "I was made to appear as if I had committed rape. The allegation against me was that while presenting a medal to someone, I had touched them. These were the kinds of allegations. An atmosphere was created as if I were a rapist."
