New Delhi, July 14 -- Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan expressed firm belief that Tahir Hussain's conviction in the Delhi riots case is not the final chapter of the legal battle.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, the AAP MLA emphasised that the judicial process allows for further legal recourse, adding, "where there is hope for justice."

He said, "This verdict has come from the Sessions Court, and it is expected that an appeal will be filed in the High Court, where there is hope for justice."

The Karkardooma Court in Delhi on Monday convicted former AAP councillor Tahir Hussain and four others in the murder case of Intelligence Bureau (IB) official Ankit Sharma during the 2020 northeast Delhi riots.
