Shiv Kumar Pandey appointed Manager of Indian team for 4th SAFF Senior Athletics Championship Ranchi, Oct 23 (UNI): Shiv Kumar Pandey, who has served as a technical official in several international athletics competitions, has been appointed as the manager of the Indian team for the upcoming 4th SAFF Senior Athletics Championship. The event, jointly organized by the South Asian Athletics Federation (SAAF) and the Sports Department of the Government of Jharkhand, will be held from October 24 to 26, 2025, at the Birsa Munda Football Stadium in Ranchi. Around 350 athletes and coaches, along with 150 technical officials, from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka are expected to participate. Shiv Kumar Pandey's appointment was formally announced by the Jharkhand Athletics Association (JAA). The achievement was congratulated by senior officials, including Sports Secretary Manoj Kumar, Sports Director Shekhar Jamuar, JAA Planning Committee Chairman Dr. Madhukant Pathak, JAA President C.D. Singh, and other office-bearers of the association. The championship is expected to showcase high-level competition among top South Asian athletes and further strengthen India's regional athletics presence.
