WFH policy reduces 9 percent in fuel consumption: minister
Jakarta, May 26 -- The work-from-home (WFH) policy implemented by the Indonesian government since April 1 has been proven to reduce fuel consumption by 9 percent, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto revealed.
Based on the government's evaluation, this decrease in consumption was recorded for subsidized fuel Pertalite-which became the basis for the government's decision to extend the WFH policy for civil servants.
"We evaluated WFH for two months and saw quite positive results, with a decrease in Pertalite use in April of nearly 9 percent. So, the results are quite positive, and therefore, the decision was made to continue," Airlangga said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
