Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka inaugurated 76 members of the 2026 Heirloom Flag-Hoisting Troop (Paskibraka), who will serve at the flag-raising ceremony marking Indonesia's 81st Independence Day anniversary at Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on August 17.

"May God Almighty bless you with His grace and ease in carrying out your state duty," he said during the inauguration ceremony at the State Palace in Jakarta on Saturday.

Gibran served as the ceremony inspector, while a Paskibraka member from East Kalimantan, Julita Rista Lestari, served as ceremony leader.
