VP Gibran backs stronger prep for Indonesian apprentices to Japan
Jakarta, Aug. 31 -- Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka has urged stronger preparation for Indonesian intern candidates who will work in Japan, aiming to build a skilled workforce with an understanding of the destination country's culture and work ethic.
According to a statement from the Vice President's Secretariat received here on Monday, Gibran made the remarks while receiving Chairman of the Indonesian Kenshusei Entrepreneurs Association (IKAPEKSI) Pranyoto Widodo and its members at the VP Palace.
In the meeting, the VP and IKAPEKSI discussed strengthening the readiness of apprentice candidates before departing for Japan, including through establishing an integrated training center.
