Indonesia, Oct. 9 -- Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor said the ministry continues to strengthen vocational education and internship programs to improve young people's skills and readiness to enter the workforce in line with industry needs and labor market developments.

Speaking in Magelang, Central Java, on Friday, Noor said that certified skills are an important asset for graduates seeking jobs and competing in the labor market.

He made the remarks after delivering a briefing on strengthening young people's skills and competitiveness at Tidar University, Magelang.
