VAT-DTP helps maintain purchasing power for air travel: Ministry
Jakarta, June 27 -- The Ministry of Transportation has said that the government-borne value-added tax (VAT DTP) policy for domestic economy-class air tickets is aimed at maintaining public purchasing power during the school holiday period.
Director General of Air Transportation at the ministry, Lukman F. Laisa, said the policy covers VAT on the base fare and fuel surcharge for domestic economy-class flights.
"The VAT DTP policy for economy-class air tickets during the school holiday period has been running well as part of the government's effort to maintain public purchasing power and support national mobility," Laisa said here on Saturday.
