US investors lead rush for Danantara's debut $1.5 billion global bonds
Jakarta, June 15 -- BPI Danantara, Indonesia's newly formed sovereign wealth fund, has reported strong international investor interests in its inaugural global bond issuance, with demand led by investors from the United States.
Speaking to reporters at the Presidential Palace Complex on Monday, CEO of Danantara Rosan Roeslani announced that Danantara has successfully issued international bonds worth US$1.5 billion after conducting an international roadshow to present its investment policies and institutional frameworks to 122 global investors.
"I can say the response was positive. Of the US$1 billion we initially planned to raise, we received approximately US$4.6 billion in orders during bookbuilding process," he stated.
