Jakarta, April 24 -- The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) said an Indonesian peacekeeper died after suffering severe injuries in an attack in southern Lebanon in late March, marking the latest casualty amid escalating tensions.
In a statement on X that ANTARA quoted here Friday, UNIFIL said Private First Class Rico Pramudia, 31, died after nearly a month of treatment at a Beirut hospital for critical wounds sustained in the incident.
"UNIFIL mourns the passing of Praka Rico Pramudia, who was seriously injured by a projectile explosion at his base in Adchit Al Qusayr on the night of March 29," the mission said.
