Jakarta, Feb. 24 -- Rose Mini Agoes Salim, a professor at the Faculty of Psychology, University of Indonesia, has highlighted the importance of empathy and self-control to prevent oversharing, or the act of disclosing excessive personal information on social media.
The psychologist, who is known as Romi, said not everything is appropriate to share in public, particularly details related to one's private life.
"If what is shared is educational content, research, or a lecture, it may still have an impact on others. But when it becomes personal, there is no need to upload too much. There are things that morally should limit someone from saying them," Romi told ANTARA in Jakarta on Tuesday.
