Jakarta, March 12 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi ensured that national transport infrastructure and services are ready for the Eid al-Fitr travel season, to ensure safe and comfortable journeys for the public during both the homecoming and return periods.

"The government has made various preparations, covering land, sea, air, and ferry transport facilities and infrastructure," he said here on Thursday.

The Ministry has conducted safety inspections of all transport modes, offering economic stimulus through discounted air, sea, train, and ferry tickets, and organizing free homecoming programs.
