Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- The development of the Trans Sumatra Railway is expected to strengthen regional connectivity by creating integrated transportation hubs that support sustainable public mobility, as stated by an official from the Transportation Ministry.

"Yes, the development can be well-integrated, safe, and comfortable," the ministry's Director General of Transportation and Multimodal Integration, Risal Wasal, remarked on Tuesday.

Wasal said the Trans Sumatra Railway development prioritizes integrated transportation hubs with strong intermodal connectivity.
