Banda Aceh, Oct. 6 -- Indonesia's Trade Ministry has announced a 2026 relief programme to restore 56 markets damaged by disasters across 15 cities and districts, including four cities in Central Aceh District, Aceh Province.

Director General of the Domestic Trade at the Ministry Iqbal S. Shofwan said in a statement received here on Tuesday the ministry is implementing the programme in collaboration with regional governments to support economic recovery in disaster-affected communities.

"The impact (of the disasters) is not only physical; it has also created economic challenges, particularly for traders," Shofwan said.
