Jakarta, Sept. 16 -- Indonesia's Tourism Ministry reiterated its commitment to supporting concerts of international musicians through "Event by Indonesia" programme as part of a strategy to boost tourist arrivals.

"We run Event by Indonesia to strengthen the ecosystem for events while generating broader impacts for tourism and the public," the Minister of Tourism Widiyanti Putri Wardhana told at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (Sept 15).

She said the ministry's goal is to leverage Indonesia's hosting of events as a way to attract tourists, empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), create jobs, and generate added economic value.
