Jakarta, April 5 -- Commander of the Indonesian Military (TNI) Peacekeeping Mission Center (PMPP) Major General Iwan Bambang Setiawan reaffirmed Indonesia's commitment to ensuring the protection and safety of its personnel serving as United Nations (UN) peacekeepers.
The statement was delivered during his visit to Indonesian peacekeepers from the TNI Mechanized Battalion Task Force Konga XXIII-S who are being treated at St. George Hospital in Beirut after being injured in an attack while serving with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
