Denpasar, Bali, March 14 -- The Bali Representative Office of Bank Indonesia (BI) said government stimulus in the form of transportation ticket discounts of up to 30 percent has helped ease the impact of Bali's tourism low season.
"Although there is a decline due to seasonal factors, business players remain optimistic about future retail performance," Head of BI Bali Erwin Soeriadimadja said here on Saturday.
According to him, the optimism is reflected in the results of a survey conducted by the central bank involving 100 retail business players in Denpasar, which recorded a Real Sales Index (IPR) of 124.3, representing 6.4 percent year-on-year growth.
