Taiwan highlights RI workers, students' role in people-to-people ties
Jakarta, Oct. 8 -- Head of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia Bruce Hung has highlighted the important role of Indonesian migrant workers and students in strengthening ties between Taiwan and Indonesia.
In his remarks at a Double Tenth Day celebration in Jakarta on Wednesday, Hung said bilateral ties continued to develop across trade, investment, education, and people-to-people exchanges.
"More than 400,000 Indonesian migrant workers and 18,000 Indonesian students are now living in Taiwan, and the people of Taiwan regard them as family," Hung said.
