Jakarta, March 26 -- Indonesia's National Nutrition Agency (BGN) said Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs) temporarily suspended under the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program are improving their services and working to meet required standards.

BGN Deputy Head for Public Communication and Investigation Nanik Sudaryati Deyang said in Jakarta on Thursday that 1,528 SPPGs or MBG kitchens nationwide remained suspended as of March 25, based on accumulated data since January 2025.

She said the number shows a decline from two weeks earlier as more operators have registered for hygiene and sanitation certification (SLHS).

"Many have now registered for SLHS after being suspended," she said.
