Jakarta, Sept. 9 -- The Sudanese government expressed interest in sending its military personnel to Indonesia for further training as part of efforts to strengthen bilateral defense cooperation.

This was conveyed during a meeting between Indonesian Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and Sudanese Defense Minister Hassan Daoud Kabroun Kayan at the Ministry of Defense Office in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The Head of Information Bureau of the Indonesian Defense Ministry's Secretariat General, Brigadier General Rico Ricardo Sirait, said the two ministers discussed several cooperation opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
