Student interest in research grows, OPSI hits 39,000: Ministry
Jakarta, Sept. 28 -- The Primary and Secondary Education Ministry said that the student interest in research and innovation is growing, reflected in a rise in applicants for this year's Indonesian Student Research Olympiad (OPSI), reaching 39,300 students.
Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti said in a written statement here on Monday that talent development in research needs to continue after the competition ends.
According to Mu'ti, the government has prepared various forms of support, ranging from coaching funds and assistance for schools to skills development through Bina Talenta Indonesia.
