Jakarta, June 15 -- German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier emphasized the importance of the partnership between Germany and Indonesia amid a global climate marked by various conflicts and rising violence.

In a joint statement at the Merdeka Palace on Monday, Steinmeier noted that this was his fourth visit to Indonesia, a frequency that reflects just how vital bilateral relations are to Germany.
