Makassar, S Sulawesi, Aug. 19 -- South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman and regional officials have sent about 30 tons of humanitarian aid to earthquake-hit communities in East Nusa Tenggara Province (NTT).

Andi Sudirman said in Makassar, the capital of South Sulawesi Province, on Wednesday that the aid would be transported by an Indonesian Air Force Hercules aircraft.

"About 30 tons, along with hundreds of kilograms of medicine, have been collected for our fellow Indonesians in East Nusa Tenggara affected by the earthquake," he said.
