Jakarta, Aug. 8 -- About 11,000 personnel strengthened synergy through a national unity preparation routine ahead of the 81st Indonesian Independence Day anniversary, themed "Sovereign, Just and Prosperous Indonesia," at the National Monument (Monas) here on Saturday.

"Protecting Jakarta means protecting Indonesia. Through the spirit of nationalism, we build collective strength between the government, the Indonesian Military (TNI), the police, and all levels of society to maintain security, order, and unity," Chief of the Greater Jakarta Police Asep Edi Suheri said here on Saturday.
