Indonesia, Oct. 7 -- The joint search and rescue (SAR) team expanded the search area for Cheon Yuri (31), a South Korean national who was reported missing while snorkeling off Gili Trawangan, West Nusa Tenggara, on Tuesday (October 6).

Coordinator of the Bangsal SAR Alert Unit, I Gusti Komang Aryadana, said the second day of the search focused on both surface and underwater operations in the waters off the island in North Lombok District.

"On the second day, the Mataram SAR Office deployed an additional Rigid Buoyancy Boat (RBB) dispatched from Lembar Port in West Lombok," he said on Wednesday.

The vessel was deployed to reinforce search operations previously carried out by the Bangsal SAR Alert Unit and local SAR elements.
