Jakarta, Aug. 25 -- Habiburokhman, chairman of Commission III of Indonesia's House of Representatives, said deliberations on the Asset Forfeiture Bill are being expedited and targeted for completion by December 2026 at the latest.

Commission III will continue public hearings, consolidate input, meet with the government, deliberate on the bill and seek final approval at a December plenary session.

"After deducting recess periods, the parliament has only about eight effective weeks remaining to deliberate on the Asset Forfeiture Bill," Habiburokhman said here Tuesday.

Commission III has held 35 public hearings, conducted three regional working visits and received written submissions from dozens of community groups, he said.
