Jakarta, Aug. 30 -- Indonesia's Culture Ministry plans a tribute exhibition featuring works by late visual artist Nasirun at the Indonesian National Gallery, honoring his contributions to the country's arts community.

Culture Minister Fadli Zon said here Sunday that the exhibition would honor Nasirun's contributions and coincide with the 40th day after his death.

During a visit to Nasirun's family in Yogyakarta on Thursday (August 20), Zon said the exhibition would give art enthusiasts another opportunity to appreciate the artist's major works.

The exhibition will also serve as the National Gallery's closing event before the venue undergoes renovations, he said.
