RI's economic growth well-maintained despite global uncertainty: BI
Jakarta, Aug. 19 -- Indonesia's economic growth remains well-maintained and needs further support to sustain momentum amid a weak global outlook and persistent financial-market uncertainty, Bank Indonesia said.
"Going forward, growth is expected to remain strong, supported by government stimulus programs and sustained confidence among economic actors," BI Acting Governor Destry Damayanti said during a press conference following the BI Board of Governors (RDG) meeting here on Wednesday.
Indonesia's economy recorded a growth of 5.29 percent year-on-year (yoy) in the second quarter of 2026, following a 5.61 percent growth in the preceding quarter.
