Jakarta, April 20 -- Indonesia is ready to contribute as an active partner in establishing inclusive global AI governance, bringing the perspective of developing countries, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated.

"Indonesia's involvement in AI has grown from its early development stages to an integral part of the entire economy," Purbaya said in his statement on Monday, following the IMFC Early Warning Exercise he attended on the sidelines of the IMF-World Bank Spring Meetings, held from April 13 to 17 in Washington.

By 2025, the minister said, the information and communications technology (ICT) sector is expected to record its highest growth rate in history, at 8.35 percent.
