Jakarta, July 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto chaired a meeting with senior officials Tuesday to review measures to prepare for extreme weather and drought, as authorities anticipate risks linked to El Nino.

Several ministers and agency heads arrived at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta by 2:30 p.m., including BMKG Head Teuku Faisal Fathani, BRIN Head Arif Satria and Forestry Minister Raja Juli Antoni.

Antoni said the meeting would discuss measures to address drought-related risks, including wildfires and other impacts from the recurring global climate phenomenon El Nino.
