Jakarta, July 23 -- Indonesian Police Chief Gen. Listyo Sigit Prabowo met FBI Director Kash Patel in Jakarta on Thursday to discuss cooperation against transnational crime, including cybercrime, terrorism, human trafficking and drug trafficking.

"International cooperation is crucial to supporting law enforcement," Listyo said in a statement.

Global developments have fueled transnational crimes that exploit technology and cross national borders, including cybercrime, terrorism and human trafficking, he said.

Indonesia's police force is committed to strengthening cooperation with the FBI through information sharing, personnel training and joint operations under applicable regulations.
